Nothing like spending an entire morning and partial afternoon scrambling on the boulder formations @ Joshua Tree. I had the pleasure of taking along 3 younger friends who had never been there before and didn't know what to expect. Needless to say, they were blown away. Thick high cloud cover kept the temps in the high 50's to about 60...perfect February desert weather. After 34 years of tramping around JT, it's still special to get out there for that special solitude only the desert can provide. Ed
