Electric bike??? Why, your completely missing the point of cycling?

Put some 50lbs of a heavy battery and electric motor and you basically might as well buy a motorcycle or gas scooter. We'd miss out on the joy of peddling a 16lb work of art to a 65lb home on wheels.

But there are alot of websites out there describing the DIY electric bike out there, and even a bunch of commercial vendors. Have you started looking there? No need to reinvent the wheel, so to speak.
