Lowe Alpine

Anyone else out there have or ever have or use the Lowe Alping Kanga Himal? I have had this pack for about 7 years as my "expedition" and "long trip" bag; it has been great. However I have never seen another one in the mountains or on the trail...just wondering. jason.b.nicholson@us.army.mil

Brad...personally, I love it when I have a pack that works, but also is one that I hardly, if ever, see anyone else with on the trail. As or Lowe Alpine, a year or so ago I was using an Alpamayo 70+15 with the APS-9 suspension and thought it to be one o the most comortable I'd ever used. I finally donated it to a local wilderness volunteer group for anyone new coming in that might need a good pack......but, sometimes I DO miss it : ) Ed

..i was only curious if anyone here has the same pack. i have a lot of lowe gear from when i worked at an outdoor shop and they had the best pro-deal running...about an eight year old snowpeak 50, this is a phenomenal mountaineering/ski pack, alpine flash jacket/pants, i'm very impressed with the triple point ceramic. i use it for skiing and climbing mostly, have used it for cycling, off-shore sailing, travelling, etc...incredible gear. and some lowe alpine fleece pieces, crampons, and ice axes as well...but about the best piece of lowe alpine gear i use or have are two sets of tri-cams. these are the best pieces of gear going on the market and as i prefer passive pro they are incredibly versatile..
