Thumbs up Wellness Filter Sport Bottle

Has anyone else every used the Wellness Filter Sport water bottle filter? I have one I got a few months ago and I think it is great. I use it everywhere. I never heard of it before my wife told me about it, so I asked Outdoor Review to check it out. Their webpage has some good info, www.wellnesswaterinv.com, says it lasts for 200 gallons. I am a believer, has anyone else used one before?

I have used it and it didn't let me down. Altough I think the Katadyn Waterbottle is more value for money. It occupies a virustat element which also removes viruses from surfacewater. If you don't need this I think the best value for money is the Filtrix FilterPen www.filtrix.com sold by CarePlus and other onlineshops, weiging only 30 grams and also purifying 100 liters.

Thanks for the info. I checked out the filter pen, but I could not find a price for it? I looked at both Sweetwater and Katadyn water bottle filters and they were good for only 100 liters (26 gallons) where the Wellness Filter Sport bottle is good for over 750 liters (200 gallons). The Katadyn cost $47.95 and (1) replacement filter is $30.95. The Wellness Filter Sport Bottle is $40.00 and (3) replacement filters are $40. Although it is harder to find on the web page, the Wellness Filter Sport bottle filters as well as the Katadyn if not better since the wellness filter sport bottle has antifungal and antibacterial elements that further treat the water. They have a fact sheet at http://www.wellnesswaterinv.com/aboutus.html

The filter pen looks ok, but again, I don't know how I would use it. Do you fill up your water bottle and use it like a straw? I can't imagine hiking down the trail trying to hold a straw while you are drinking. I was not really looking for another option I just wanted to see if anyone had used the Wellness Filter Sport Bottle for longer than me and if they had any problems. So far, I think it is great. Seems to work really good.
