Went on a gear bender...
...so many new toys to play with. The $2000 digital SLR (not counting accessories) didn't make the cut, so no pictures, but...
-Scarpa SL M3 boots-- should survive two months of restoring jeep trails in the Mojave this summer
-Hennessy Hammock-- 5 lbs. off my pack weight
-Granite Gear Vapor Trail-- my shoulders won't miss the JanSport ruck
-MSR Miniworks, BD Moonlight headlamp, other trinkets
-SPECIALIZED ROCKHOPPER MTN BIKE!, as if I needed another expensive hobby
-A/C repairs for my car-- won't die of heatstroke while driving, so I can get the full Mojave experience and die from a rattlesnake bite
As the bike was a birthday gift, that all comes out to about two weeks' pay, based on what I was making weeks ago before I got canned. I'm still not done accessorizing the bike. No, Duck, I'm not getting a carbon-fiber seatpost.
