Talking Latest gear purchase,

Just took deliverary of a new 04 Colorado. Dark green with dark grey interior,4wd off road package, ext cab, with a nice cd stereo.
The old S-10s' transmission was going bad and after replacing the muffler, tires, front end, shocks, and fuel injector assembly in the last year, and 2 weeks ago the battery I decided to call it quits and buy me a new toy.
Man, I'm yuppie styling now.
Walt
P.S. I really really really needed it for the trip to the Porcupine mountains in May. The old truck wouldn't have made it.
Gearus Satisfactus!

I'm There!

Congratulations, Walt. I myself have a new Toyota 4Runner SR5, in a real nice silver they call Titanium Metallic. Only the second new car of my life, and it had 4 miles on it when I took possession. My old car was a '94 Ford Explorer w/ 126,000 miles, and the repair bills were mounting. I was looking at close to $3,000 in repairs/tires in the next year. It is SO nice to have a new car. Already used it to get through the snow at Cranberry Wilderness in WV. I'm with you, big guy. Almost 2.000 miles on it already . You know what CD I'll be playing when it hits 2112, despite the protestations of my Rush-hating wife.

For those of you expecting me to be gone on another trip this weekend, my son's friend had an accident at the beach and can't move his arm. Hope he's not hurt too badly. We are going to reschedule around the soccer schedule. Another bummer but what can you do?

Congratulations, and yep, this is new car #2 myself. Just wish it weren't so expensive as I need a new sleeping bag and a couple of tents and a McHale pack and a Big Agnes pad and more time off work, and, and. The truck is just a means to feed my real habit. )
