    Mini mini gathering

Finally got to meet Tantrum. We got to ride Heavenly, which worked out nicely. As Tantrum said before, the high temperatures greatly effected the snow, but it was still good times in the trees & some steeps. The snow was pretty much untracked, even though the last snow was a couple days before. I did build the 1/4pipe back up, now it's legit, too bad I'm not in Tahoe. Can't wait to get back. Anyways, it was cool to meet you Tantrum.
    later,

Yeah, it would have been cool if you were there. Although I had to leave early. Now I'm actually sick, but I can't take a sick day. Giving a lecture to a bunch of people while switching between fever & cold sweats is fun. It's been a interesting week, 2 weeks of meetings are taking it's toll, but I do get to ride some.

    The Heavenly trip...

it was nice to meet you too E. Thanks for showing me the local's stashes. It's awesome Heavenly has such varied terrain that is lift accessible. And you're right, The snow in the AM was not bad considering the weather. I was too intimidated by your two room-mates so I spent most of the time bringing up the rear. The cold-weather wax was slowing me down. Yeah, that's it.

I spent the rest of the day doing laps off of the Stagecoach lift and the one lift (can't remember the name) where you could access the chutes. Got close to one of the "holes" near the willow bushes and almost disappeard (just as you joked!).

Thanks for the invite back to your place but I didn't feel like stacking firewood after a long day on the hill. Look me up if your travels bring you out to CO.

Kept my pants on this time...

didn't see any pro female riders (other than E's "room-mates"). Plus, I only do that when I am out of the country.

Yeah, good wax is key, but I know why you were bringing up the rear. They're good workers too, one spent a couple of hours with me rebuilding the 1/4 pipe & the other is stacking wood. They're good at cleaning & cooking. I'm working on a 2 for E deal. Seems to work in Utah.

I'm guessing they don't visit this site yet... Best keep it that way...

Anyway, I bummed.... I get a week to play in the snow up there and the forecast calls for nothing between now and then, and more than likely nothing while I'm up there..

Might have to bust out the carving deck in the mornings... :/ Maybe I'll just become a park rat for the week. :0

    Okay, maybe not...

You around during this time E? Not off traveling Europ or Asia? Visiting fam back east? I'll be in north shore, but I don't think driving around the lake will be an issue with the weather forecasts out there...

2 for E would make you a mere trainee in Utah?
Any rear view photos available yet?

I was bringing up the rear because...

each kicked my ass in the skills department. The tongue stud was mesmerizing though.

It's all good... Played some indoor vball 2 weeks ago, and then this last Monday. No ill effects. No pain, only a tiny bit stiffer and weaker than my healthy one.. Missing a tiny bit of my hops but that could be the 15lbs I put on in the 'off' season. Anyway, I'm definitely sending my orthopedic surgeon and PT's Christmas cards this year... They did a great job putting humpty back together again...

The only real long term ill is a lot of scar tissue causing boot fitment issues, and a little bit of range of motion loss... Got some new Intuition liners to mold this weekend and that should take care of the fitment issues...

So, how's the knee holding up this season? Still taking it pretty easy? Do tell...

Hmm... See, now I'm wondering, because, well, he was bringing up the rear riding with Reverand and I as well... Okay, he was actually monkey in the middle most offten... At leas when he could hold his heelside edge... But hey, I blame the bindings.. ;)

    Talking Bindings?!

Sounds like he is a very observant kind 'o guy. Always leaning back taking in the sites!! LOL! Just messing with ya T. ; ) Honestly, if I was riding with a couple of very nice ladies, I would probably take in the sites too!!

The truth will set you free...

Ok, here it is: The ladies were chargers and I never could get in front of them. That's my story!

And, yeah, the bindings were killing me on the heel side turns in the soft crud. Don't worry E, it was operator error.

I understand completely. I'm not a fan of the MK series. I've ridden so many bindings over the years & it sucks when either the binding doesn't work or they are not adjusted right. I used to work for Ride years ago & would get all sorts of crap. I took a few laps on the Cinch binding awhile ago, the hiback is so soft that you could overflex it on heelside. Not to mention I was on some board another factory sent me. In short, the riding was not fun & I'm glad nobody was there to witness it. Let me know if you have any questions or need anything.

    Knee schmee

Pretty much back at full speed volleyball-wise. When my timing's on, I can be impressive, when it's not the net gets a lot of big spankings.

Started wearing a little brace I got at a local sports store for snowboarding...will get a full-fledged DonJoy Wednesday. The brace has helped a ton. No issues at all while riding unless I'm going too fast on cruddy, icy, steep stuff and try to scrub speed heelside. Been back in the pow, in some freaky-deaky trees, and did a double black bump run at Vail Saturday...starting to feel good!

Glad to hear no major issues with you and you're back on the court and able to ride! My latest PT (teaching jump explosiveness and how to jump and land without tearing your knee ligaments) gave me some good achilles stretching exercises. Said he had a buddy who's torn both of his achilles, but won't stop playing basketball. His wife is apparently threatening to leave him if he tears it again. ;)

Seriously, that weekend was the first real ride on the new Flows and I didn't take the time after each run to adjust as needed. However, I am sold on their concept and ease of entry. I was so annoyed having to wait for the ladies to strap on and then playfully brushing the snow off of their bums.

I have yet to set someone up & have them go back to their old 2 strappers. Granted there is still work to do on them & we addressed this for the 05/06 line.

What if I let you ride behind me? I'll even bend down and make frequent adjustments to my bindings if that helps?

Not the mental image I was expecting...

now if you could get your nanny to do that while kicking her new Team Flows, that might work.
