So, how do you like your setup? BTW, nice use of tupperware...

I went with the actual helmet mount, and found that pretty solid. Do you get any shake with it mounted to your goggles? How's the field of view? Wide enough?

Anyway, let me know how you like it. Can't wait to see some vid.

And regarding that, I have no idea what a good cheap hosting option would be. I know 1and1 is pretty popular in Europe and have some decent low rates. Might be worth checking out.

I haven't taken it for a test run yet (went with cam only in Zermatt). Waiting for a leisurely day on the glacier (this weekend maybe) to mess around with it. Seems to work pretty good in my apartment tho!

I went with the goggle mount first as was recommended to me by a friend with same. He said he got a better and more accurate view mounted there. But yeah, I was concerned about the wobble factor. I suppose on hard hits it will bounce around but then again hard hits are not what I am going for. Most likely I'll be trying to get some pow runs rather than crud runs. Or standing still and videoing a friend going by.

On your helmet mount, did you put it on the side or on top? I'll probably stick an extra piece of velcro on my helmet so that I have both options.

I just use a basic velcro mount on top of my head, but I don't care for the view as much from up there. I'm thinking eye level would be better, but then you are off to the side a bit... I see the folks like TGR, Warren Miller, and other "pros" using a centered helmet mount so I guess it's good enough for them..

I think I need to get the super-wide angle lense and see if that makes a difference... Who knows...

Anyway, maybe I'll take it out on Saturday for a test run again. Just for some basic follow-cam stuff to get it dialed in..

And yes, I think I have the same setup as you. RF Concepts 480line Sony... I'll post a pic of the setup sometime sooner than later..

I'll have my video camera but it's not helmet mounted. It'd be fun to get some shots of the crew on Sat. I'd give you more than enough wipe outs and spills.

How does it hold up if you take a tumble? Especially if you go headfirst into some pow pockets...as I've been known to do. I'm interested in getting one so any advice or insight is appreciated.

I like your enthusiasm and the gear looks good but I have a question. What good does it do? It will only film where you are going: Scenery not action. Don't you want it pointed at you so you can watch what you've done? How is the snow in Tahoe for next week?

Well, it's good for filming your budies while you follow them... It's also good for "feels like you are there" type footage when riding chutes, trees, etc... I actually like it for doing some follow-cam when mountain biking...

But mostly it's just nice to have it so you just film where you look, without the need to carry a camera around.

Anyway, the snow may be okay... Just had a dump for a couple feet, and maybe a bit more coming Sunday/Monday. Beyond that, who knows... Temps are supposed to stay cool so it should stay in good shape.
