I'm alive as if anyone cares...

Yo whatup my peepskullz and homies?

Is anybody else gettin' a little itchy for some snow or what? I actualy wandered into a local boardshop last week and had my first "bro-down" o' the season with the shop guys (legend has it that no snow will fall until you've had some innane conversation about boarding with the loacl shop guys).

There's a fair amount o' construction going on near my hood and I'm actualy thinking about breaking out the mountainboard... either that or caulk my tub.

Anywho, I've been wasting the last few snowless months studying the Brazillian art of Capoeira (and no, not just to hit on chicks as would be normaly expected in any activity I might engage in).

I've enclosed a pic of me doing some signature Capoeira move (technicaly reffered to as an Au Malandro), dig it and behold my beauty and killer stylee. :P

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...apoeira001.jpg

Anyway, what's the crew been up to?

BTW, I would have a mullet (bizniz in the front, party in the back), but I'm a balding baby.

    peas & AXE!

    Killer style!!!

I think Capoeira would be a great way to meet chicks. You walk up to some honey in a bar and bust out that move. Guaranteed you get her digits!

E seems to be the only one getting any of the white stuff. Still a while to go here in CO as it's HOT today. Come October I'll be getting amped. Or when I get AC's new vid.

wonder if that move would work in a suit? Would need to be super stretchy fabric, which of course all of mine are!

And if it doesn't get you immediate hooptie, guaranteed it'll get you free drinks!

But seriously, chuckie, that looks kinda bad-ass and fun.

Tho, "Breakin'" looked bad-ass and fun, too, at the time...

I really only study Capoeira to enhance my already considerable breakdancing skillz, and of course chicks really dig that. ;)

It could be worse, not likely to be any snow here till DEC!

I'm still wondering why ALL Capoeira pants are made of some kind o' polyester-lycra material that's annoyingly crotch hugging.

    Must be a Brazillian thing?

I don't know about "getting free drinks", but it's bloody likely to get me tossed out of a bar for sure (not like that's the first time that's happened).

Maybe it's just because I suck though? Caopoeira is major fun, not too practical, but ya gotta love the acrobatic aspects. The musical instuments are cool too (when was the last time you saw somebody play a bow and arrow?).

...if the bartender busted a Capo move, a la Tom Cruise in "Cocktail," when s/he mixed up a capirinha (sp?)? Very cool, that's how cool!

Bow and arrow?! What the--? Can't quite picture it.

Hey, you comin' to Denver this season for the Passion gathering? I'll teach you a hula dance if you teach me a capo move!

You boys don't seem to be too annoyed about the Brasilian gals' crotch-hugging thongs?

Why's the bloody PASSION GATHERING in DENVER this year? Wasn't the blasted thing in COLORADO last season?

Sorry, but CO just don't do it for me.

I already have plans to hit TAHOE (ALL Passion getherings should be in TAHOE... it's tradition), late season (read end of MARCH time frame). There is just nothing better than TAHOE bluebird riding at the end o' the season.... besides, I hear the hottub at SQUAW calling my name, and I'm compelled to comply.

As for the Berimbau, it has a unique soundand is the heart of Capoeira music, here's a pic of some Brazillian guy playing one:

    Mad Skillz Boyeeeee!

Good to see ya still around and kicking it. Snow has started to creep into my mind as well. Or is that fog... Hard to tell with my current work schedule.. Sleep has become a rare thing...

Anyway, Tahoe is always a go for me. As for the Denver thang, I'm going to try to work that into the mix as well. Need to get to Colorado to ride at some point in my life. Why not now?

    Tahoe

No reason we can't have two Gatherings. Well, except for the petty concerns like work, money, responsibilities.

I've never been to Tahoe. Maybe this will be the season.

You're not into CO snow? Well, I've never been there, so I can't be the judge of that, but I *am* stoked on Denver to meet hot chicks (Bunda and Twinkie are on tap!).

You should bust that out in a pipe. Or on a mtn board. Thanks for the pic,it's much easier to erase that off my computer than in my head. I'll keep trying & thanks for not being in a thong.

I'd love to make the GATHERING, but let's be frank (or Paul, or John for that matter), I haven't been back to TAHOE since the last time I wuz there and that's where I'm going dang it!

...yes, it now occurrs to me that the above ramblings make no sense (lack o' caffeine?)....

Basicly put, I'm coming to TAHOE (possibly dragging my girl kicking and screaming all the way), and it's gonna be late March. Now let's get this straight, I'm going, come Hellz or high water, solo or tandem, but one thing fer sure, I'm bloddy riding out there this YEAR!

Now wouldn't it be great if the GATHERING just happened to be there at the same time (my girl might disagree)?

In any case, I'll likely try to catch-up with some of the locals if I do miss the GATHERING.

I'm going and that's all there is too it, got it!?!?!? Good.

I mean it's TAHOE, why go anywhere else (except Hood in the summer)?

Okay, I think we get the idea that Chuckie's coming to Tahoe... If I'm in town, I'll defintely make an effort to run up there for day for some riding with ya. I'm sure we can find an icy groomer somewhere to help you feel at home...

You have your eye's on North Lake so you can hit homeboy's hood? Fond memories of a spring day screwing around there last time the "crew" was all in town... Looking silly on the early "junkyard" deck at the bottom of the hill... Good times...

More than likely, we'll crash at one o' the casino's in South TAHOE, however, HOMEWOOD, and SQUAW are must rides (allthough my girl is really a GREEN rider). I intend to up the "difficulty" level of my riding by being drunk and disorderly the entire trip.

I might hit Kirkwood or Sierra, after that, it's time to roll out to SONOMA.

Good times.. We'll make it a party! After all, boarding one day, wine tasting the next is definitely a NorCal type thing to do. Specially if you're boarding at Squalleywood..

Anyway, should be fun. I'm down for riding anywhere...

I guess us guys are good for something. How am I going to explain to Mrs. T. that I am going out drinking with the lovely LL, a Brazilian beauty named after her bum, and some bloke named Tbone? Must think of a rouse.

Speaking of snow....they closed the high road in Rocky Mountain National Park today due to 2 ft. snowdrifts. Now that I have my knee back, and having missed Nov 1 - the whole friggin season, I'm jonesin too!

Glad things are going well dude....keep us posted. You ever get your mini or what?
