    how good are Spyder Jackets etc??? technical shells???? whats your opinions

    They make decent apparel. You're average Spyder buyer is a 30+ year old skiier that either hits the slopes on a regular basis, or more commonly wants to look like he does. I remember one of their jackets even has a built in wrist "window" so that you can see your watch without having to lift up your sleeve

    I'm looking at the glacial shell, as we get alot a wind down here in New Zealand and layering seems to be the best option on the cold days.

    Thumbs up Spyder Jacket

    I've been using Spyder for a couple of years. There are pluses and minuses as with all things I suppose. I have the Black Widow now. For what we board in Idaho, there have never been any problems. It has great breathability and is pretty indestructable. However, it is only 5000mm, so if where you are is a much wetter area, you might either want to scotchguard or get something a bit thicker.
