    TR: Les Diablerets/Villars 3/7/2004

    Resort: Les Diablerets/Villars, Switzerland
    Date: 3/6/2004
    Temp: -10C
    Wind: Still
    Snow: Powder
    Sun: Overcast, dumping!

On the advice of Al, we head to Leysin, but on the way he smses us the 411 on Glacier3000 - the Comb is expected to open at 10am. So we redirect to Les Diablerets and start there until 10am. Al joins us a bit later but unfortunately, the weather doesn't break and the Comb stays closed. On the bright side, we're at Les Diablerets (lotsa trees) and it's absolutely dumping! It snowed constantly all day, getting heavier towards the evening. We ski a few runs on the Les Diablerets side with great soft fluffy knee deep powder. Then moved on to the Villars side, and ran the Petit Chamoissaire lift the rest of the day. Nice steep pitch, super trees, and no crowds kept us stoked all afternoon.

Damn, looks like another nice day on the hills... Like the last powder shot of you as the headless boarder.. ;) It's dry times in Tahoe now... Quite depressed actually... It's my fault though, I bought a new swallowtail.. It'll never snow again...

Thanks for the pics though. A nice reminder of what can be...

    Those Euros are hard-core...

The patrons of Vail/Aspen/etc. wouldn't stand for this two seater nonsense:

I hate it when a joke backfires.
