I noticed on the Whistler website today that this last season had record snowfalls of 46+feet. Now sure, that's fairly impressive but here in Niseko where I live that's the average snowfall at about 1000ft. I believe Whistler takes their snowfall readings at close to 5000ft.

So I know North America has some awesome resorts (I've skied a few) but if you guys really want to experience deep deep powder you should really consider heading over this way sometime. With the yen not doing so well these days it's also very cheap to ski here with lift tickets at less than $40 per day. In Niseko the tickets will give you access to 4 interlinked resort areas and has night skiing to 9:00pm.
