New Team Daiwa Tierra Spinning Reels and Rods

CERRITOS, Calif., Jan. 30, 2007 – Leading tackle manufacturer Daiwa Corporation has introduced a new series of Team Daiwa® Tierra spinning reels and rods offering tournament-quality performance and features at a price the average angler can afford.

Available in a variety of sizes designed to handle both freshwater and light saltwater fishing applications, the new Team Daiwa Tierra spinning reels incorporate state-of-the-art features for superior smoothness, durability and fish-fighting power. Every Team Daiwa Tierra reel boasts a rigid aluminum body, an ABS aluminum spool and a super strong, yet lightweight tubular stainless Air Bail®. Inside, a total of eight ball and roller bearings (including corrosion-fighting CRBB bearings) ensure smooth, reliable performance under all conditions – even in the harsh marine environment. Daiwa’s exclusive Digigear design ensures that the gears – designed and machined for optimum efficiency – are held in precise alignment at all times. This translates into an incredibly smooth, ultra powerful retrieve, and plenty of cranking power when a big fish is on the line. A sealed, waterproof drag system delivers the smooth, consistent pressure needed to put the brakes on hard-fighting predators, while also allowing for easy wash-down. Additional reel features include: Twist Buster® line twist reduction; infinite anti-reverse; Gyro Spin® balanced rotor; and a free spare aluminum spool.

New Team Daiwa Tierra spinning rods have been specially designed to perfectly complement the performance of Tierra spinning reels. In addition to spinning models, the Team Daiwa Tierra rod family includes eight new Trigger Rods, as well as a new Flipping and Pitching rod. All Team Daiwa Tierra Rods feature powerful yet ultra-sensitive IM-7 blanks, Daiwa’s X-Treme guide system with Fuji® “New Concept” aluminum oxide guides, and genuine Fuji® reel seats. Each rod also features a “direct contact” casting grip cut-out that lets you stay in constant touch with the sensitive blank and detect the slightest pick-up. Team Daiwa Tierra rods are backed up by Daiwa’s five-year limited manufacturer’s warranty.
