A haiku. Are you poetry in motion when you ride? Welcome aboard.
Hah, My Haiku writing is about as rusty as my riding at this point.
I'm mostly a lurker here. I have posted here infrequently over the years under different nicks. But now that they required registration, I decided to stick with one.
I mostly ride dirt bikes which is my passion. I referred FireCracker here from another board I lurk on. ;)
I injured my back many years ago so I just started getting back into snowboarding/dirtbiking over the last few years. Slipped the L5, S1 when over jumped, flat landed and took a little dirt nap and received a concussion. I did get to take a ride in a helicopter though.
Anyway, being from Arizona there isn't much to add since I only get to ride a few times a year. But I usually read this board to get me pumped for a trip or just to see whats goin on. I have brothers in Idaho, so I usually meet them at Jackson Hole, Salt Lake, or we'll go out to Tahoe. There is actually some pretty good snowboarding in northern Arizona this year but I haven't been able to take advantage yet. I'll try to post some pics sometime.
Anyway, sorry for derailing the thread. Thanks for the welcome.
I won't pretend to be any kind of expert. I know there are many many rules surrounding haiku-writing and I'm sure I've broken several. I wrote these a few years ago:
dead tree
dark thin fingers bare
soaring into cold blue nothing
reach the glass sky
old river
once a torrent
a cerulean knife carving rocks
now a trickle
