    Get Blunted!!!

So what's up with boards with blunted tips and tails? I have seen it on Lib Tech's Travis Rice pro model, Trevor "trouble" Andrew's Burton Se7en, what's the point and is it functional?
I have seen Trevor ride pow on it too. I thought they weren't for pow, more of park thing...?

Word on the street (from Burton and Lib-Tech) is that the blunted tips are designed to keep rotational weight down and as a park and jib specific shape.

So then with blunted tips does that change the overall shape of the board, primairily affecting the contact length? I think having a blunted 158 would ride more like a standard 160?

According to Burton's specs. blunted boards such as the se7en are actually shorter in their running legnth and effective edge compared to a traditional shaped board such as the Custom. A 158 Burton blunted seems to compare to what would be a 157 traditional.

The difference is there. I had no idea how narrow the Se7eN is... Pretty interesting.

Well now that I am riding a seven I can say that it pretty cool but I dont think I notice the blunted tips while spinning, but I do notice the centered stance and think that helps much more.
