Question Advice please - will I be cold?

    Hi,
I'm new to boarding, heading to France on Saturday to try a board for the first time. (I've ski'd before, maybe 10 times, but not in the last 10 years!)
Anyway, I've got my ski gear, but will I be standing around a lot and need an extra base layer?
(This is France, not the -20 of Norway)

    Thanks in advance.

The only area that I'd say get's more cold while learning snowboard is your bum. Your knees might see a little more time in the snow as well. So if anything, an added, or thicker lower body base layer might be good, upper will be fine. You work much harder first learning to board as you'll be on the ground pushing yourself back upright a lot, and this'll keep your upper body plenty warm.

Have fun, and pray for soft/fresh snow! Make the learning falls a lot softer... Consider buying or renting wrist guards, especially if it's icy or hardpacked snow.
