    Womans board

I'm looking to buy a snowboard for the first time. I am a beginner (a little experience but not very much). I'm 5'8", 145 lbs, size 9 shoe. I'm on a tight budget so a used board would be great but I will buy new if its worth it. It would be great to get something that I could have for a while. Any suggestions of boards to look into would be awesome. Thanks very much. Erika

Given your weight and boot size it is not necessary for you to get a women's specific board. I don't know where you are riding, but something in about a 151-153 would be a good start. It's important to understand that board size is based on rider weight, boot size, type of snow being ridden, and not how tall you are.
