Mountain Fork Ranch - Ouchita Mountains
The headwaters of the Mountain Fork River begin in the Ouachita Mountains of western Arkansas. The river is spring fed from the quartz rich mountain rock formations in the 1,500,000 acre Ouachita National Forest. Mountain Fork Ranch has ¾ of a mile of this mountain stream running through it. This private water fly fishing stream has native wild smallmouth bass in its cool clear depths. Wade fishing in the pools and riffles is a challenge fly fishing with top water small popping bugs or wet fly crawfish imitations. See the attached photos along the stream. There is a healthy herd of white tailed deer on the place, which borders an Arkansas Game & Fish Department Refuge. The ranch is available for a one year deer hunting and fly fishing lease for $2,000. Contact Mr. Bev Edwards at maedwards@houston.rr.com or 936-273-5064 for details.
