Can someone recommend a good wax iron?
I was going to get the one from Test Pilot because it's cheap, but I'm worried it won't hold a steady temp or it will burn my wax. I've seen the one's from Swix but they are twice as much.

While you're there, pick up a few blocks of Dakine wax also. A great 75g wax for the cash:

I was actually thinking of getting this one since bigger is better. Actually, it would make my waxing go faster since more surface area.

I've seen that one, but never used it. I personally favor an iron that is rolled up on each end and doesn't come to a point. Let us know how that one works out.

I agree. I used my wife's old clothes iron for a while, worked OK, but the cheapy Bakoda iron works better. Smaller surface area, but the rolled up edges work better for spreading wax.

I was thinking about the Burton one but I try not to support Burton. I think I'll get the Toko mouse:

I like that the base is 1/2" thick.

Alright, I got the iron pictured above and it turned out to be very good. Holds steady temp very well, won't burn wax and very easy to work w/. It's a lot bigger than the pictures eludes to. It's a bit pricier than other irons but well worth it.
