One kick-ass lady
Ellen MacArthur has completed her single-handed round-the-world 27,000 mile voyage in record-breaking time: 71 days and under 13 hours.
How is any of this snow related, you ask? Well, apparently a little around the South Seas ;)

My kingdom for a trimaran!

I don't think...
I could be alone with myself for 71 days. I'm not that interesting. Just ask Canuck.;)
Good on her!

Many Kick-Ass People!
Great job by Ellen for sure!
Don't forget to mention though, the Vendee Globe solo around the world race with Open 60 class monohull sailboats (arguably a more difficult race altogether than just beating an existing record). These people are still racing and finishing as we speak and include:
Vincent Riou - 87 days 10 hours
Jen Le Cam - 87 days 17 hours (how close it that for 1 - 2 finish?)
Mike Golding - 88 days 15 hours
Dominique Wavre - 92 days 17 hours
8 more solo boats out in the mid-Atlantic pushing for the finish at Les Sables in France.
