Hi, I own a Markill Spitfire.
The question is that the screw-type gas cartridges are all compatible?
The gas cans from MSR, Primus etc? They work all with my stove?
Thanks, Catalin.

There should be no problem using other company's cannisters as long as they are using the universal Lindall valve and most do. I use a Markill Hotrod stove on most of my trips and have burned Primus, Coleman, Snow Peak, and MSR cannisters.

They always come with the warnings against doing that, but I'm not aware of anyone having any problems. They threaten "imperfect seals" and whatnot, so thread width might concievably vary slightly between brands. But, like I said, I'm not aware of anyone ever at any point in history having any problems, so it's all marketing. Still, if you can find Markill cannisters, they're good anyway. They use more isobutane than Primus and Exponent for cold-weather performance, and they're cheaper than MSR. I've used them with my Primus stove with great success. Random cannister tip: if you ever lose performance in moderate cold (maybe 20 or 25* F with isobutane blends, perhaps 40 with regular butane), screw it down tighter. Seriously. This works. It opens the valve further, so you get more gas flow. Trust me, it's miraculous.

All canisters execpt,I think, Optimus have the same screw type connection. This is a military spec and will work with any stove that has the same screw connection.
The MSR seem to work the best in cold weather.
Hope this helps.
