So here I am plotting my takeover of TAHOE...

Been there twice and don't know a dang thing about the place (I was drunk, and my buddies did all the planning... aint that schweet!).

So far I'm looking at the first week in APRIL maybe, I'm eyeballing a package including my air, and SUV, and stay at Harrahs for 5 days or so (yeah I know it's south lake but the casino, and restaurants are a lure).

How are the resorts going to be the first week in APRIL?

Wasup with Harrahs?

I'm thinking tshirt and shorts riding for the whole trip... like a day at the beach, only with snowboarding.

Advize me already...

Definitely spring riding. For you, I'm thinking you'll have a blast... April is just a party month at most of the Tahoe resorts as they normally plan on closing at the end of the month. Think pond skimming, big-air contests, etc...

The biggies like Squaw, Alpine on the north side will stay open longer if the snow is still good... Heavenly would stay open a bit longer with good snow, but you can't count on it. Regardless, there should be plenty around in April unless there is an equally freaky warm weather phenom between now and then. It'd require warm weather and rain to destory the snowpack fast enough, and it has happened before.. But, if all is normal, you'll be able to go ride anywhere you want... Icy mornings, slush afternoons, and good corn between...

Anyway, Harrahs should be cool. Walking distance to everything, and some rooms with views... It's all good down there...

Thanks for the tips, I'll settle on Harrahs as the base o' operations for sure. :)

Considering what Tahoe is getting hit with currently, I'm guessing that there should be record snowpack. The news in the East makes it look like the end o' the bloody world out there (which is nice).

Corn snow and slush... excellent (I'm a late sleeper after all)!
