We're looking at splitboards and want to know if anyone has experience with this one?

I haven't played with that one yet. I've heard great things about the Khyber in general though. I'll vouch for Prior's build quality as I have their standard 172st split...

As for good reviews and additional feedback, the two places to go are splitboard.com, message board was down for repairs last I checked, but this place is the #1 source on the net and I know a few guys there have used and or own that board; the other being couloirmag.com. The discussion board there should turn up some folks that have used or demoed the Khyber. The Nov or Dec issue of Couloir magazine had the best review of splitboards ever to show up in print, and I believe they included some words on the Khyber as well.

Overall reviews of that board show it to be more versatile than the fish and a bit more stable at high speed. Same principal, just a little better for varied conditions.

Let us know if you end up with it. 'Tis a sweet board, especially for pow and fresh corn...

We ordered 2 boards. I'll let you know how it is. I got the 156 and SnowDude got the 160. Right now we're riding on 152 and 156. Should be fun!

The sad thing is by the time they arrive this epic storm will be over. If only you had them sooner! :)

Regardless, you'll be pleased. The backcountry snow will have stabilized and it'll all be in prime condition for some split trips....

BTW, did you check out splitboard.com? There is actually going to be a big gathering of splitters in Tahoe the first weekend in March. Should be a good time to find some riding buddies and learn a bit more about the scene... I'm hoping to go, need to figure it out this week...

Send some photos when you get them.. (like you wouldn't). Looking forward to hear more review about how they ride...
