Best day for Tahoe this week??

I missed out on the latest Sierra storm. :mad: :( :mad:

BUT ... I have a free pass to Northstar for any day this week or next week (M-F). (Part of a promo for the San Jose Ski show.) Any ideas/bets when the next big storm will roll through? When will the crowds the thinnest and conditions be best?

I'd rather ride a day in snowing pow pow than a sunny, crowded and windblown crap fest ;)

I don't the the answer to that yet... From what I can tell it's either tomorrow or Friday. Friday should be a bit stormy wich will keep the crowds down and keep the snow fresh...

And it's been colder up there, so the old snow has been holding up okay... Hit Kirkwood yesterday and the snow up high was as light as ever...

I think I'm gonna wait until next week to use up my free weekday pass. Looks like another storm will hit this weekend. YEAAAAH!!!

Good call. As things are developing it looks like Monday will be THE day to be up there, Tuesday shouldn't be a bad choice either. Major precip expected through Sunday, including a lot of winds early on... It'll be nasty up there starting late Thursday, early Friday through the weekend. More snow into early next week, but it should be light and without the wind... I'm thinking it'll be pretty sweet.. Wish I could take Monday or Tuesday off... Oh well....
