Great Kirkwood Blaze of 2004

I was at Kirkwood this sunday and around 11:30AM. The lifts came to a grinding halt. The problem, the main generator went up in a blaze. They ran the backup genarator and got us off the chairs and threw us off the mountain. Not sure when they will be able to reopen since they won't have power. I would call before going up there in the next couple of weeks.

They are supposed to be back up and running this week. But yes, you might want to check into it before you make the trip...

Did you get any runs on the Wall? Snow looked yummy off there, especially over toward Wagon Wheel bowl in the trees and chutes there...

Hopefully all will be well for this weekend as I want to try to get up there Saturday. We'll see... Depends on how jet lagged I am and what snow falls..
