I was wondering if someone could tell what it means to proform. A friend of mines father owners a snow shop and is going to proform some snowboarding equipment for me, but I don't know what that entails exactly. Can someone please explain it to me?

To pro-form something means to order it directly from the manufacturer rather than buying it right at the store. Generally shop employees, resort employees, or someone directly related to helping a manufacturer sell more merchandise can pro-form product directly from that manufacturer at a good percent off retail, usually around 40-50% off for hardgoods and even better fro apparel. Product is either ordered via fax or sometimes on-line and delivered to the shop.
