This post set off a flurry of events. The capsulated version: I checked their website. Las Vegas October 23. House of Blues. Arranged a baby sitter, Gma and Gpa are coming back from SoCal on the 22nd. Meeting them in Bakersfield to swap the kid. Staying at The Plaza in Downtown. Playing at a no limit Hold Em tourney at Binion's freaking Horseshoe! Hitting the show Saturday night. Coming home Sunday.

Wow, I'll say so... Sounds like a busy, yet fun weekend... Have to wish you good luck in the tourney...
I still need to go out and grab the CD... It was funny, they had dropped off my radar until just a few weeks back. I was up in S.F. at the Fiddler's Green (Cute, touristy by day Irish bar/pub) having a nice little snakebite when someone played these guys on the jukebox...

Good stuff - I din't know they had a new one coming out. I dig their stuff for sure. We actually used one of their tracks, "Drunken Lullabies", on our first flick.
They're working on my deck now so I need to use a ladder to get out of my place and my dog isn't stoked about being carried down a ladder. And I'm not stoked about carrying a 95 pound lab up and down ladders...

Someone used "Devil's Dance Floor" for Micky LeBlanc's part. I forget which vid though....
Track 2 on the new one is absolutely killer. 100% Flogging Molly, 100% rockin...
And no tourney at Binions! :( Apparently there's a major tourney event starting there that day, so I have to find another casino for my own play. However, all the pros will be at Binions, so I'm hoping to get pics and autographs. And maybe, just maybe Doyle Brunson will let me get a picture with him. Yah, I can see how carrying a 95 lb unhappy lab would get old... Especially up and down a ladder... Not fun...
As for you SC, sorry about the tourney. There are plenty of little table games you can pick up though. Doin't remember where, but some places do small tourneys on Fri/Sat/Sun that you might be able to get into... I just played some 2/4 tables last time I was up there. get a few bucks if you are patient..

Oh yeah, most the casinos have daily tournies too, the Plaza has 2 of them on Friday night, one at 7:00, one at midnight. I just kinda wanted to play at the "Mecca" of Texas Hold Em, The Horseshoe, you know? I will play a tourney, but it won't be at Binions unfortunately. I'll also prolly hit the low-blind no limit game at Circus Circus on Saturday night, after the show, which is just off the Strip.....

It will be especially bad to carry your lab down the ladder when he has a full bladder!
haha...okay its not really that funny. Carry a big dog around kinda sucks. I had to down climb a very sketch rockface carrying my 80# lab in sections....NO FUN!
But one good thing is they will always forget about the whole ordeal after presenting them with a treat!
later.

If you're in the SF Bay area, you missed them already. Played the Warfield about a week ago. I think they did a minishow at the Virgin store downtown.

If I ever get back to SF it will be too soon :)
My other choice was Sacramento in downtown. I live near Chico. I figure if I'm going to arrange a babysitter and have a late night and go through all the trouble, it might as well be combined with a mini-vacation to LV and see the show at the House of Blues.
