Heading to the Rock this weekend

Well, the forecast for the weekend couldn't be much better fro my tastes, and then out of the blue a friend of mine calls up and wants to go backpacking around Black Balsam! He and a few friends are hiking in mid-day on friday from Big East Fork, and I'll probably join them saturday at the lastest. Should be great stargazing opportunities: new moon on monday. Anyone from the broad going to be up there? I'll be the young long-haired dude with the green roll-top pack. I you see me, say hi!

Dang dude, I was planning on going up this weekend, but I wound up getting a new bike today, so I've diverted to Pigeon Mountain to see how it rides. Should be a great weekend, sunrise on Black Balsam is one of the premiere outdoor experiences in the Southeast.
