Yah, that beats the 1" base at parts of Mammoth, or the no-existent base at most Tahoe resorts...

Still, at least we have a nice covering of snow dust at my home resort, which is a better start than normal. Night time temps have been averaging much lower so far this fall... Now if we can just get some moisture in the air...
