Well, hmmph! I just got off the phone with a customer service representative with Liberty Mountain Sports. They make all kinds of outdoor gear. I am appalled, surprised, angry, and relieved all at the same time. First and foremost, don't expect any special treatment by them as a customer. They are not willing to admit their mistakes and want no part of any plan to make things right. Granted, I was outside of the normal return policy "boundaries", but a reputable company would have showed a little more cooperation in fixing the problem. I suppose it is good that I know this before I bought any more of their gear. I urge anyone considering their products to do some research and try to find the items somewhere else. Hope I have helped prevent some future headaches for someone else. Please share this with all.

with whatever you bought and how far out of the normal return policy did you seek to return it?

Well, I was pretty far out of date as far as the policy was concerned. They require everything be back in 30 days, and my order was over a year ago. I didn't really want a return or refund. The product I had was faulty, but still brand new. I suggested several options in order to satisfy me, but the representative always brought up the return policy. I understand why the policy is in place, but I feel that if the product is defective, it shouldn't matter how long it has been.
