Club Blazer Trail Team Characters Help Make Smart Young Campers
For Immediate Release
(Frisco, TX) - In an age where children spend a lot of time in front of the television and connected to the Internet, there’s a program that emphasizes the importance of having children making another kind of connection – with Mother Nature. The largest private membership campground network, Thousand Trails, is launching a new children’s program called Club Blazer, which promises to be fun, educational and rewarding for young campers.
Club Blazer features a unique group of animal characters called the Trail Team led by Walker Wolf. The unique Trail Team characters share with kids the importance of being a smart, conscientious camper. The Trail Team creatures symbolize Thousand Trails’ commitment to improving recreational activities, playing safely, encouraging energy conservation and acting as good stewards of our natural resources. It’s about spending time with nature and the outdoors.
Club Blazer hopes to encourage children and young adults to seek a lifestyle of conservation and appreciation of the environment. All age groups are encouraged to take part in this distinctive program that is designed to be as entertaining as it is educational.
"Club Blazer fulfills our dream of creating a Junior Ranger program that is unique to Thousand Trails and to our goal of providing family-oriented recreationally-based programming that is both fun and educational,” said vice president of member experience Peggy Boone. “We consider ourselves a summer camp for the entire family, and we focus on creating lifetime memory making experiences that transcend generations. Club Blazer is designed with our children in mind, but I am confident that every age group will enjoy the programs and activities offered through Club Blazer."
Kids will enjoy the puzzles and activities in an interactive, illustrated booklet that will be handed to them upon check-in by a Thousand Trails preserve ranger. All preserves will host Club Blazer orientation events and activities will be designed around the Club Blazer theme for campers to participate in. Parents will be rewarded by knowing that they are helping to nurture creativity in their children while experiencing nature in a safe environment.
“We really are one of the finest family outdoor getaways and our resorts have full schedules of events for kids of all ages,” said Boone. “We hope that this program creates the next generation of RVers and campers who will continue to respect and enjoy the outdoors.”
