Ride Timeless 164 or 168

Hi,

I have a Timeless 161 (forget the year but it is fairly old) which I have loved but it has lost some of its pop I finally want to replace it with something longer, either 164 or the 168. I am just not sure how big to go. I am hoping some of you with more experience using different sized boards can lend me your advice.

I like to use the entire mountain and do a few minor jumps in the park but my favorite thing to do is curve at med-fast speeds on the groomers. I like to lay it out in big sweeping turns.

I can do this on my current board so am pretty set on a new Timeless, just not sure how big to go.

I am ~215 lbs.

Go big and don't look back.. At that weight, and with your interests, you'll enjoy the extra effective edge of the 168. I've been riding a Timeless 167 since about 2001... I weighed around 215 when I started on that, peaked at about 220, and now am down to just under 180... Still love the board and it's size to do everything... I've also ridden the 2004 168, and 2005 164 and still prefer the bigger board.

The only reason I'd consider little shorter is if you love to spin &/or do a lot of tight trees and you are concerned about the edge to edge speed.

I have size 9.5 Salomon boots, riding 9 back, 24 front angles and edge to edge has never been a problem..

Besides, if you ever find yourself with some powder to ride, you'll be in better shape...

Lol... yah, took a little while, but I'm no longer stressing my equipment with 200+ pounds of "not all muscle"... ;) Never thought I was "overwieght" before, but I definitely feel "correctly weighted" now...

Amazing how much more float you get out of a board when you take 30lbs off it.. ;) That and the knees have recovered, so I need to change my old handle.... "No Neck" is the new common one after a little incident I had earlier this season...

Better to be "No Neck" than "No Money". Or how about "No more than 2 weeks to live"? Yeah, there's defintely worse:)
