I have just returned from Borrovets in Bulgaria and am trying to post an updated review but it seems I have to do it via a forum...As a returning skier I found borrovets an interesting place ..Lots of snowboarders and not quite suitable for second year skiers as not many blue runs ...nothing too difficult for intermediate skiers but can get a bit crowded on the lower slopes ...experienced skiers might find it a bit limited..in January the slopes were reasonaby well groomed but a bit icy
the ski schools are of variable quality and the equipment on hire is well used
The apres ski is lively and all the resort is good value by european standards but be warned the food in the hotels is dire..but lots of very reasonable restaurants
