Merry Happy and all that jazz back at ya!

Starting off okay... Got fresh snow in the hills, a fresh flu in my lungs/head, and um, that's about it. So all is good!

Hope everyone has a great 2006!

Iced Blended Canaria. Nice!

The highlight of my holiday season: I got Dutch-ovened by a flatulent dachshund.

for like... 3 hours, nice airport! :p

We had a super fun party for New Years' Eve at our house in Seattle, lots of friends, lots of beer/champagne, fireworks, and a ragin' karaoke contest that went from Judas Priest to Julio Iglesias, til 5 am. In the fog of partying, some friends and I decided that spending the 1st of the year at Baker, was the closest thing to putting our best foot forward, which, in my case, is goofy-footed. Gotta say, hung-over, sleepless and all, Baker ruled!

And yet, that was not the highlight of my holiday season... THIS was.

Hey, Canaria, I like that salt-water blonde look. But no cellphone glued to your ear? Bad blonde! Bad blonde!

Oh, I see you have a guy glued to it instead. ;-)

So, who's the gent? Your baby-daddy? Don't think I've seen his face here before, the man of mystery.

(Ever get that kissy-kissy noise when you walk by Spanish-speaking doods? Maybe it's just down here...I think it's a south-of-the-border thing. Cracks me up every time.)

No pics of the good yet, but Copocobana is a hoot for New Years.

Bunda's godfather hooked us up w/ a hotel across the street from the beach and the fireworks show. Very, very fun.

Hey y'all!!

So good to hear about your merry entry into 2006!

TBone, did you say Copacabana, as in New Years' in Brasil?! You lucky s.o.b., you and Bunda better post some pictures of that, cause it had to ROCK! (or SAMBA!) :D

Yep LL, that is my baby-daddy, or rather, how we actually call him: papi. A man of mistery he is indeed, there he's fooling you with his best Clark Kent impersonation, but he does have an alter ego... you know? Midnight Idols (http://www.myspace.com/idols)

Man, I'm looking at the beginning of this thread with the picture of snowboarding at Baker on Jan. 1, and I can't help but post another picture I took last Saturday, Jan. 7, back at home... what a trip!

Here's some pics of the fireworks show taken by DrBunda's godfather's partner with a wide angle lens, we'll post a link to all our pics later. We did wind up at a dress rehearsal for a Samba school (Manguera ?) as well on our last night. Very cool!

Copacabana beach starting to get crowded, long before the fireworks and before everyone is hammered...

Now the beach is crowded...the whole friggin beach. All who knows how many miles are packed as is the street and 80% of the people are wearing all white...

Truly great time if any of you ever have a chance to hit Rio over New Years. Even better if you can go with a true Carioca (person from Rio) who speaks better Portugese than yours truly.

Let's see if this works.

Not sure if the order will match up with the descriptions.
