kayak advice

hi,
i'm a new kayaker and was wondering what was a good one to purchase. I'm 5'-9" and 150 lbs. I would mainly use it in the ocean in the monterey and san francisco bay area. I'd prefer a cheaper, entry level kayak and have looked in the reviews as well as having tried a few. what would your advice be?

I purchased a Prijon Seayak last fall for the same type of paddling. Wasn't cheap, but when it comes to gear, it is worth spending the $$s.
