Looks like good chance of snow for this weekend in the Sierra... Fresh tracks anyone?

I'll be busy moving and well, healing... Anyone want to help me out Friday night or Saturday? Free beer and pizza!

From NWS:

An unseasonably strong low pressure system is headed to
a position off the southern Oregon coast by Thursday. Strong
south to southwest winds with gusts to near 50 mph in the valleys
and 100 mph along the Sierra crest will develop Thursday afternoon
and evening ahead of an approaching cold front.

Rain will begin falling in Lassen County by late Thursday
afternoon spreading south into the Lake Tahoe area by evening.
Snow levels are forecast to drop to around 6500 feet Friday
morning in the Lake Tahoe area and northern Sierra. Several
inches of snow are possible in the Sierra above 6500 feet
Thursday night into Friday.

What month is this? I seem to have lost track... Was 95 here two days ago.. Now this?

Yah, trying to shift gears myself here, but darn it all if the snow isn't distracting...

I'm tryin to figure out how much tape I need to wrap my ankle in next week. I'm heading down to Baja Mexico next week for the annual beach vball tourney/party. I have a "Rocketsock" ankle brace, but I'm thinking a base tape layer will be in order as well... The other question is, should I just bring the crutches with me knowing I probably shouldn't be doing this yet?

In the meantime moving the countless loads of boxes and misc furniture items is providing some good rehab...

Think we should change this site to NoKnee's Review. Sounds like the ankle is getting better. I would love to shred the gnar, but I am going to wait till early next week. Now my 5 minute drive has turned into a 6 1/2hour drive. When you headed down this way. My house is pretty easy to find, go towards mexico & turn right towards the ocean, can't miss it. Did go tsunami watching last night, not much wave action, but I did drink a few beers.

E, where'd you end up getting a house? I used to live in Encinitas, then Solana Beach, then Del Mar. Where you at?

I live ocean side of the 5 in San Clemente. A few blocks from the pier. My road goes directly to another beach/park about a couple 100yards north of the pier. I have a pretty nice ocean view from my own personal deck. The pad is swell, feel like I should always be wearing a robe & smoking a pipe. I would be set except the housing prices are not humane & Baker is too far away. I haven't had the greatest reaction to the riding down here when I ask people. I really don't feel driving 3 hours to go to Bear is going to happen much. Any input?

Yah well, I'm getting better at multi-tasking at work.. That and more meetings again where my primary contribution is "yah, I'll have my guys do that and get back to you".

And yes, the ankle is getting better. Range of motion is weak, but so am I.... doh!

I'll be flying through the general area quickly next Thursday, not sure that I'll have time to stop for more thanb drinks or the likes... Flying into San Diego mid afternoon, meeting up with my cuz and her guy over at Cane's for some drinks, then driving south of the boarder to Rosorito. Come on down! We'll be drinking/playing over at Papa's and Beer's 'til sunset, showering up, then finding some more trouble down at one of the thumpin clubs within stumblin distance. Probably have some extra couch space in the condo if you want to crash.. Should be good...

And yah, saw the Tsunami warning up this way too. Was a bit bummed it didn't at least cause a ripple... My friends out on the coast called me to say, "Yo, surf's up! Should be epic!" But no special swells hit up here either.. Probably wiped out some small islands across the Pacific somewhere else that we'll hear about when hollywood is scouting locations for the next survivor.

Anyway, um, yah.... Snow should be hitting Mammoth, so fuel up for that drive and go shred some of the gnar! That or just grab a nice longboard and do some urban surfing...

Okay, enough.. the caffeine seems to be working just fine today... Might try to get some work done with this buzz for a change..

I dig SC. I used to paddle out at Trestles and Old Man's back in the day. We had a saying that there is no life east of the 5.
I really don't feel driving 3 hours to go to Bear is going to happen much. Any input?Unfortunately, Bear, Snow Summit, Mtn High, and Baldy are it for the local snow scene. Southwest may offer some cheap tickets to get back up to NoCal. Mammoth is just a short drive. :p I went to university in LA and we'd leave LA on Friday night after midnight to get first chair at Mammoth. Then we'd drive back to LA after riding all day on Sat. Used to call these "Burrito Runs" because all we ate were Del Taco combo burritos.

There is still snow up by Baldy/Mtn High, but typical years are pretty bad. Just had another earthquake, anyways I might have to fly to warshington to get the goods. Actually the south Sierra's look pretty good for doing some bc riding. I don't think I'm up for the burrito runs yet. The SC is nice, need to watch the OC more so I can figure it all out.

Think I'm headed up to suckertown(Seattle) on thursday or friday. Guess I should get a ticket.Might be able to hook up on thurs. The pad is sweet, the girls are splendid, from what I here. Can't tell when I sit in the dam office all the time. My boss lied to me, it's sunny everyday, shredding is an hour away & there are tons of girls at the offices across the parking lot. So far he batting a 1000 with lies. I did see a baby bird get hit by a big truck, earthquake number million & went to the worst quiznos ever. Apparently one doesn't need a frontal lobe to work there. Need coffee.
